Singlink is a lyrics presentation tool designed for worship services, small groups, and gatherings. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect.

Information We Collect

Account Information: If you create an account, we store your username and a securely hashed password. We do not collect email addresses or personal identification information.

Room Data: When you create rooms and add songs, we store the lyrics, slide content, and any settings you configure. This data is associated with your account (if logged in) or stored temporarily for guest sessions.

Usage Data: We may collect basic usage information such as device type, browser type, and connection timestamps to improve the service and troubleshoot issues.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Singlink service
• To save your rooms, songs, and presentation settings
• To enable real-time synchronization between devices
• To troubleshoot technical issues and improve the service

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on our servers and protected using industry-standard security measures:

• Password Security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with 10 salt rounds. We never store plain text passwords — only the one-way hash. Even we cannot see your password.
• Data in Transit: All communication between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS).
• Real-time Sync: We use secure WebSocket connections for real-time slide synchronization.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your room data is only accessible to you and anyone you share your room link with.

Third-Party Services

Singlink uses the following third-party services:

• iTunes Search API: To search for song information when adding songs to your library
• Genius API: To fetch song lyrics (lyrics are cached on our servers)

Data Retention

• Guest rooms: Automatically deleted after 24 hours of inactivity
• Registered user rooms: Retained until you delete them or your account
• Account data: Retained until you request account deletion

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your stored data through the Singlink interface
• Export your room data using the download feature
• Delete your rooms at any time
• Request complete account deletion by contacting us

Children's Privacy

Singlink is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
